She stepped away from him, her
senses reeling
And lifted her eyes to his, lost in his gaze
She turned away, welcoming the cool evening
breeze
Wondering how she'd deal with the love his eyes
displayed

She didn't plan to open her heart to anyone,
ever again
The fear of losing was way beyond what she could
bear
Building a wall around her heart had took it's
toll
And she was sure she'd never again be taken by
love's snare
But he was a force to be reckoned with, strong
and true
His feelings for her was not what he'd wanted in
his life
Cause he had loved also, and been hurt beyond
belief
His love had died, he'd thought he'd never want
another wife
Yet there was all kinds of thoughts running
round in his mind
A little country home, kids, puppies, and her
always by his side
But how was he going to convince her to give
love a chance again
Both had been through so much, so many tears
they had cried

He wasn't sure yet just how he would overcome
her fears
He'd continue to pray and put his future in
God's Hands
And ask for guidance for both of them in the
days to come
He knew that God knew best and had their future
in His Plans.

Psalm 37: 4 ~ 5
Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall
give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him;
and he shall bring it to pass.
