He wore Levi's and boots,
A western hat and a vest.
She wore heels and suits,
Of quality to impress.

He was a rodeo man
Set in his ways.
She, a career girl,
Knowing the way of her days.

They were an unlikely couple.
Neither was looking for love.
Yet God brought them together,
And they fit like a hand in a glove,

They both loved the Lord,
Each worked to win the lost world.
He in the rodeo circuit,
She in the church, this city girl.

Their love grew so sweetly,
They found the depth of their heart.
The vows they made to each other,
Were that they'd never part.

It was for them,
A vow they couldn't keep,
Cause God took the cowboy home,
Before their love was complete.

Her heart wept for him
Her love would never depart.
Throughout the days of her life
She loved him with all her heart.

Scripture from 1 Corinthians 13

Love suffers long and is kind; love
does not envy; love does not parade
itself, is not puffed up.

Does not behave rudely, does not
seek its own, is not provoked,
thinks no evil

Does not rejoice in iniquity, but
rejoices in the truth; bears all
things, believes all things, hopes
all things, endures all things.

Love never fails
