Most grandparents are wonderful folks
don't you know
And they've been that way since a long time ago
Why they don't even have to go to school to
learn things
My grandpap was much smarter than any ol' King!
And granny was as sweet as cotton candy you get
at the fair
She knew how to make me feel like I was walking
on air
They loved for me to come out to the farm and
stay
Grandma was like a kid my age and we'd run and
play!
At times they were so funny I'd laugh till I
cried
Mostly when granny'd climb the haystack and away
she would slide!
Of course I couldn't let her play all alone
When we got done playing on that stack it looked
like a combat zone!

Grandpap would get on his horses that had never
been rode
He would whoop and holler and he hardly ever got
throwed
Yep he was something else and that's for sure
A granddad who always made us grandkids feel
secure
Once I remember them taking me to a little
carnival that was in town
That carnival had so many rides, and even had a
ring for the clowns
Grandpap threw darts till he won me my first
teddy bear
Granny threw dimes in cups and bowls and won me
a cute cap to wear
My life has never the same since my grandparents
passed on
No one has ever shown me the love that they
had shown
That's the way it should be in a kids life,
unconditional love
And no one else on earth gives that love like a
grandparent does

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren,
whatsoever things are
true,
whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things
are just,
whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things
are lovely,
whatsoever things are of
good report; if there be
any
virtue, and if there be
any praise, think on these
things.
