The
sun rises on the horizon,
A new wave of heartaches sets in,
Emptiness surrounds me that's,
When Sorrow Begins.
The phone begins ringing,
It is one of your friends,
Checking on me today that's,
When Sorrow Begins.
I pick up the mail looking,
There is an envelope just then,
Your name boldly written that's,
When Sorrow Begins.

The clock signals lunchtime,
Food and loneliness blend,
I sit alone at the table that's,
When Sorrow Begins.
Time for an afternoon walk,
Sunshine the Lord sends,
Solitary walking is lonely that's,
When Sorrow Begins.
Night falls as the sun sets,
The breeze cool to my skin,
No arms to gently hold me that's,
When Sorrow Begins.

Sleep is hard to come by,
I listen to music from a violin,
There is no one to share that's,
When Sorrow Begins.
I pray and ask for peace,
I miss hearing you say Amen,
Tears come in spite of all that's,
When Sorrow Begins.
I lay in the bed at night,
No one my aching heart to mend,
Sleep is ever so elusive that's
When Sorrow Begins.
