Angels Are Watching Over You
Play my little darling child,
Let sweet happiness reign,
Safe you will surely be,
Protection the angels bring.
A light wind brushing your cheek,
A twig tugging at your hair,
'Tis not of nature my child,
For your Guardian angel's there.
Prayers are being answered,
From heaven the chorus sings,
God sends His hedge of protection,
By angels flying with feathery wings.
You are God's precious little child,
From the moment you were born,
I thank Him for giving the gift of love,
In His wonderful grace so adorned.
I love you sweet little one,
Such a charge given to me,
Striving to teach God's love,
His presence in you, others will see.
Yes, there are angels watching o'er you,
I sense their presence e'er near,
I humbly thank the Almighty God,
For quietening this heart's fear.
