Wisdom Isn’t Wisdom
Until You Give It Away



You can get knowledge
at any old college
if you study and do as you’re told.
There are books to be read.....
that will fill up your head
with more knowledge than it could ever hold.

But there’s something called Wisdom you desperately need
and you can get it only one place;
Through a relationship.....born of salvation
and hours spent seeking God’s face.

For there in communion with the Most High God
you’ll learn wisdom unlike any on earth.
And you’ll know without a doubt you’ve been given a gift
that is priceless, of incomparable worth.

That wisdom you hear coming into your ear
will make you humble and teach you God’s ways.
And Wisdom will sit with you as you read God’s Word
adding life and strength to your days.

Wisdom will make you see the sheer glory of God
and His sovereignty in everything around.
And Wisdom will make you listen...much more than you speak
for she whispers in a soft-spoken sound.

Wisdom is like a jewel you will hold onto tightly
while knowing that it could never stay.
For the journey isn’t finished....and wisdom isn’t wisdom
until the moment you give it away.

Proverbs 9: 9-11 ~ NKJV
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser;
Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
For by me your days will be multiplied,
And years of life will be added to you.
