The darkness
surrounds me,
Fear begins to close in,
Life loses prominence,
With a life filled with sin.

The moon almost hidden,
Omits a soft glow,
Leads me onward,
Where sinful deeds flow.

Off to the side I see,
A Church small and white,
It seems to shine like gold,
In the soft moonlit night.

I was drawn like ne'er before,
I had often passed this way,
As I traveled a sinner route,
I had not the urge to stay.

Unknown voices spoke,
I found myself inside,
I walked to the front,
Knelt at the altar and cried.

Something overcame me,
I felt as light as the air,
Tears of joy rolled down,
My heart was free of care.

I found the Man called Jesus,
He filled me with His love,
Divine cleansing of my soul,
I'm a child of Heaven above.

Praises ring out to my Saviour,
Gladness overtakes my soul,
Freed from the bonds of sin,
I've been washed and made whole.

The nights no longer control me,
Jesus is with me each and every hour,
I may face trials and walk under burdens,
I'm covered in God's awesome power.

Joy comes in the morning,
Songs of praise raise me high,
The sweetness of the Spirit,
Gives me wings that I may fly.

Yes, I am a child of the King,
He has forgiven all my sins,
Jesus came into my heart and,
A brand new life begins.

Psalm 30: 4~5 Sing unto
the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give
thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
For his anger endureth but a moment; in
his favour is life: weeping may endure for a
night, but joy cometh in the morning.
