In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God. He was
with God in the beginning. Through Him all things
were made; without Him nothing was made that
has been made. John 1: 1-3  NIV

Daybreak Sheds the Darkness

In the still of the night comes a Voice in the darkness
whispering to look up at the stars.
The crickets all chime in magnificent chorus
praising the Creator right where they are.

And daybreak sheds the darkness while the sun rises up
like a curtain lifted up by His hand.
While slumbering flowers pop open on cue
lending beauty all over the land.

At mid-day all the trees are dancing and swaying
to a rhythm God sends with the breeze.
The wheat fields and corn fields move along in tandem
to the glory they find in the trees.

Evening brings the wonder of the Artist of Heaven
as dusk shows off a sky-filled display;
Drawing the hearts of those who love God
to worship the Father and pray.

Then prayers rise up to the Father like incense
passing the stars unto the Giver that sends.
For creation makes us long to know the heart of the Creator
who each sunrise does the same thing again.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of
men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
because what may be known of God is manifest
in them, for God has shown it to them.

For since the creation of the world His invisible
attributes are clearly seen, being understood
by the things that are made, even His eternal
power and Godhead, so that they are without
excuse, because, although they knew God, they
did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful,
but became futile in their thoughts, and their
foolish hearts were darkened. Romans
1: 18-21 NKJV
