As I look out into the night
A beautiful moon glow greets my sight
Subtle light awash before me
Softens the darkness of the night.
A longing fills my heart this night
For what the future holds for me
Praying the future be bright
With fulfillment and joy to be.
May anxious feelings be quiet
With peace to betide
As my Savior walks beside
My foot steps to guide
For then I will have no fear
But filled with love
From the Father above
Who takes me to his breast
For sweet peace and rest.
As I turn from this beautiful sight
I breathe a prayer
For the sanctity of this place
For almost I could see my Lord's face
