We were dead in trespasses
and sins
Lost and undone with no way to enter in
We were disobedient according to the law
With no way out from under the devil's claw!

Then Jesus came, so Holy, and so full of Grace
To secure for us a home in a Higher Place
Our redemption has been bought by the Son
As He went to the cross and called it done!

There He extended His Love to one and ALL
From Adam and Eve, to me, and Apostle Paul
He's raised from the dead, seated at the right
hand
And is Lord to all who will understand

He killed the law of commandments through the
cross
That was to our advantage and satan's loss!
We were far away from God when Jesus came
Now all we have to do is believe in His Name

So when we accept Christ as our Cornerstone
We come into the fold and for our sins we atone
We are no longer strangers in a foreign land
As we step up and take Jesus by the Hand

Scripture from Ephesians: 2
Now, therefore, you are no longer
strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens
with the saints and members of the household
of God, having been built on the foundation
of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ
Himself being the chief cornerstone,
in whom the whole building, being fitted
together,
grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom
you also are being built together for a
dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
