Friends so close
but yet so far
in your heart
they always are

It's not the distance
that is between
but what lies inside
that you have seen

You may never gaze
upon their face
for a hug or kiss
or a fond embrace

Except in pictures
you will always see
friends so dear
that remain in me

A poem a mail
is shared within
this computer that
I call God send

For here I can chat
and converse back and forth
to talk and to pray
and send stories of sorts

They are so close
just a click away
or words that are typed
as I share each day

So it matters not
if you are far or close
it's what's in your heart
that matters the most
